CLEVELAND, January 22, 2016 – Resilience Capital Partners, a Cleveland-based private equity firm focused on
investing in and improving lower mid-market companies in a broad range of industries, announced today the
appointment of Chad F. Hesse to its newly created General Counsel role.

For the past 11 years, Hesse has worked for North Canton, Ohio-based Diebold, Incorporated, a publicly
traded global manufacturer, sales and service provider of self-service technology, software and security
solutions. During his time there, he held a number of roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, Hesse
served as the company’s Vice President, Associate General Counsel – Global Corporate Affairs. In this role, he
was the primary in-house legal resource for global M&A activity. Prior to this, he was Vice President, General
Counsel and Secretary, responsible for leading Diebold’s global legal and compliance team of 23 attorneys and
support staff, as well as managing the selection, retention, management and evaluation of external counsel.

Hesse started his career working as an associate attorney for Hahn Loeser + Parks LLP, a full-service law firm
headquartered in Cleveland, where he represented clients in connection with securities compliance, M&A,
corporate finance transactions and general corporate legal matters.
Hesse graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland State University’s ClevelandMarshall
College of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State
University. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and is a member of several industry
organizations, including the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
