Bob joined Resilience in 2006 both as an investor and as President & CEO of one of the firm’s former portfolio companies, Steel Parts Manufacturing. Bob is currently on the board of directors for Trialon Corporation.
He has over 35 years of lean manufacturing experience. Bob’s experience spans from product and manufacturing engineering and development, to plant and facilities engineering and production leadership, to IPOs and turnarounds of troubled enterprises.
Prior to Steel Parts, Bob held key executive positions at Decoma International Inc., a division of Magna International, Saturn Corporation and General Motors Corp. Bob was also President of RP Manufacturing, which specialized in contract leadership of troubled
manufacturing businesses and operational turnarounds. RP’s customers included Fortune 500 OEM companies and tier I and II automotive manufacturing suppliers.
Bob has extensive experience in site selection, startup of new facilities as well as plant operations and engineering in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
He holds two bachelor’s degrees—one each in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering—and two master’s degrees—one each in Thermal and Environmental Engineering—from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.
